Update2: Kudos to Beehive who saw my update and is in the process of refunding the $50. Thank you! PS we don't want Christopher to lose his job. We just want honest, clear communication. Update: Three stars for the most recent repair person. He told us it cost extra to do the finish caulk, so we told him we'd do that part, and he said ok. He told us the warranty was included when we asked if it cost extra. After these communications, we signed and he went to work - come to find out, he did the finish caulking even though we had asked him not to, and the warranty is not included. It was itemized as a $50 fee on our final invoice. We felt tricked. We confronted him, and he said, "Well it was on the order you signed!" If you get Christopher Beck, double check his list of fees before you sign even if you have communicated clearly what you want and do not want. He was on time, and did a great job, but communication was questionable. Makes me want to try a different plumbing company next time, or request a different repairman. Old review... Five stars for the clogged drain guys: These guys are clean, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They got the job done right and now our drains flow perfectly.Posted on Google![]()

3.5 Quality of work was excellent, however he said it would cost an extra $50 to caulk, so we clearly stated we would do the finish caulking, but then he did it and said it was included in the price we signed. We still don’t know if it was an extra $50 or not, but we felt tricked.Posted on Google![]()

Matthew was so knowledgeable. We had no idea what was happening. All sinks, toilets and showers were backed up. Help...... he figured out it was the construction going on in the area, excacly where our pipes run. He went and spoke with them. Always kept me updated as to what was going on. We ended up paying nothing. This is and will be my plumber from now on. So polite, honest and sincerely cared. Thank you Matthew, from the bottom of my heart for making a difficult situation easy for my parents and I. ❤️Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Warning Signs of a Sewer Line Problem in Murray
Sewer line problems often develop underground. Watch for these changes in drainage, odors, and your yard:
Slow Drains or Recurring Clogs
If multiple drains throughout your property are slow or repeatedly clog, the problem may be farther down the sewer system rather than limited to just one fixture.
Gurgling Toilets or Drains
Gurgling sounds after flushing a toilet or running a sink can indicate restricted drainage or air movement within the sewer line.
Foul Sewer Odors
Persistent foul odors around drains, crawl spaces, or your yard can indicate a problem with the sewer line or its connections.
Wet or Unusually Green Areas in the Yard
A consistently soggy or unusually green area of grass may indicate wastewater leaking underground. Areas that follow the general path of the sewer line deserve closer attention.
Frequent Sewer Backups
Recurring backups affecting several fixtures can point to a main sewer line problem that standard drain cleaning may not resolve.
Why Sewer Lines Can Fail in Murray
Sewer lines face a combination of ground movement, moisture, roots, and normal wear. As underground pipes age, they can become more prone to cracks or separated joints.
Older sewer systems in Murray may contain deteriorating clay or cast iron pipes. Clay lines can develop cracks or separated joints, while cast iron can corrode. These defects can cause leaks and allow root intrusion and debris to restrict flow.
Tree roots naturally seek moisture and can enter small cracks or separated joints. As roots grow inside the pipe, they can restrict wastewater flow and contribute to recurring backups.
Beehive Plumbing identifies the damage to determine whether your property needs cleaning, localized repair, trenchless rehabilitation, or replacement.
Protecting Your Yard, Driveway, and Property
Sewer line repairs may require excavation. The disruption depends on pipe location, damage, and the repair or new-pipe installation method selected.
When trenchless methods are suitable, they can reduce the amount of digging required compared with traditional open-trench replacement. This can help protect established landscaping, driveways, walkways, patios, and other finished areas.
When excavation is necessary, our team considers access to the damaged section and nearby landscaping or paved surfaces to minimize unnecessary disruption.
Sewer Line Repair and Replacement Services in Murray
Beehive Plumbing provides several solutions for damaged, deteriorating, or obstructed sewer lines in Murray.
Sewer Camera Inspection
Camera inspection and other advanced tools help our team pinpoint cracks, roots, separated joints, and blockages. Understanding the pipe's condition helps us choose the appropriate fix.
Sewer Line Repair
When damage is isolated and surrounding sections remain sound, targeted line repair can restore drainage without replacing the entire pipe run.
Trenchless Sewer Repair
Some sewer lines may be suitable for trenchless repair methods that reduce excavation. Beehive Plumbing evaluates the line's condition and layout to determine whether this approach is an option for your Murray property.
Sewer Line Replacement
When a sewer line shows extensive deterioration, multiple damaged sections, or recurring failures, replacement may be a better long-term solution. We evaluate the condition of the existing line before recommending partial or full replacement.
Hydro Jetting
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to remove roots, buildup, grease, and other debris from inside the sewer line. When the pipe remains structurally sound, cleaning may help restore proper flow without requiring a repair or replacement.

How Beehive Plumbing Handles Sewer Line Repair in Murray
Beehive Plumbing keeps the process straightforward from the initial assessment through the completed repair.
Step 1: Schedule Your Service
Call to request service when you notice signs of a sewer line problem. Our team can help determine the appropriate service based on what you're experiencing.
Step 2: Inspect the Sewer Line
Your plumber assesses the sewer line at your Murray home, using camera inspection or other diagnostic methods to locate damage and understand the cause.
Step 3: Review the Findings
We'll explain what we found, where the problem is located, and what it means for your sewer line's condition.
Step 4: Review Your Repair Options
Based on the pipe's condition and your property, we'll explain the available repair, replacement, hydro jetting, or trenchless options, when applicable.
Step 5: You Approve the Work
You'll receive clear pricing for the recommended service and decide how you want to proceed before work begins.
Step 6: Complete and Verify the Repair
Once approved, our team completes the work, coordinates required permits and inspections, and checks drainage to ensure the repair restores proper flow. Ask about maintenance to help keep the line clean.
Repair or Replacement: Which Does Your Sewer Line Need?
Not every sewer line problem requires a complete replacement. A localized crack, damaged joint, or isolated section of pipe may be suitable for a targeted repair when the surrounding line remains in good condition.
Replacement may make more sense when the pipe has widespread deterioration, multiple damaged areas, recurring failures, or structural problems that make additional spot repairs less practical.
Beehive Plumbing explains the inspection findings and available options so you can understand why repair or replacement is recommended.
Flexible Financing for Sewer Line Repairs
A major sewer line repair or replacement can be an unexpected expense.
Beehive Plumbing offers financing options to help make larger repairs or replacements more manageable. Ask our team about available plans, eligibility, and terms as you review the recommended work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sewer Line Repair in Murray
Need fast answers for your home’s plumbing needs? Our team is ready to serve homeowners with expert advice!
How do I know if I need sewer line repair?
Common warning signs include recurring backups, slow drains throughout the property, gurgling toilets, foul sewer odors, and unexplained wet or unusually green areas in the yard. A professional inspection can help determine whether the sewer line is responsible.
How much does sewer line repair in Murray cost?
The cost depends on the location and severity of the problem, the condition and material of the existing pipe, the length of the affected section, and whether repair, cleaning, trenchless rehabilitation, or replacement is needed. Beehive Plumbing provides clear pricing for approved work before the service begins.
Does every sewer line problem require replacement?
No. An isolated problem in an otherwise sound sewer line may be repairable. Replacement may be recommended when the pipe has widespread deterioration, multiple damaged sections, or recurring failures.
Can you repair a sewer line without digging up my yard?
In some situations, trenchless sewer repair methods can reduce the amount of excavation required. Whether trenchless repair is appropriate depends on the condition, location, and layout of the existing sewer line.
Is hydro jetting enough to fix a sewer line problem?
Hydro jetting can remove roots, buildup, grease, and debris when the pipe is structurally sound. If the line has cracks, collapsed sections, separated joints, or other structural damage, you may need repair or replacement.
How long does sewer line repair take?
The time required depends on the location and severity of the problem, the length of pipe involved, the repair method, and site conditions. Your plumber can provide a more specific timeframe after evaluating the sewer line.
