24/7 Emergency Service
Plumbing Services in Bountiful, Utah
Licensed & bonded · Same-day service · Free estimates · Upfront pricing
Bountiful was built in waves — the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s — and the median Bountiful home is now 54 years old. That means galvanized steel and early copper pipes that have spent half a century fighting hard water. And Bountiful’s water is exceptionally hard, ranging from 18 to 38 grains per gallon depending on the season — some of the most variable, aggressive mineral content in Davis County. Add foothill freeze risk in neighborhoods along the Wasatch Range, and you have a market where aging homes face compounding challenges year after year.
Beehive Plumbing has been serving Bountiful and Davis County since 1997. Licensed master plumbers, upfront pricing, 24/7 availability — with a firm quote before we start and written guarantees on every job.

Why Beehive Plumbing
Plumbing Services in Bountiful
Water Softeners in Bountiful
Bountiful's water hardness ranges from 18 to 38 GPG — well above the national average at any point in the seasonal cycle. A quality water softener reduces that mineral load and protects your entire plumbing system. We offer free in-home water consultations testing hardness, chlorine, and TDS before recommending any system.
Water Heater Repair, Replacement & Installation in Bountiful
Bountiful's 18-38 GPG hard water is aggressive — and variable. Mineral sediment accumulates inside tanks from the first year, forcing the heater to work harder until it fails. We assess honestly: repair if that makes sense, replace with a clear explanation if it doesn't. Every water heater we provide and install carries a 6-year parts and labor guarantee for water heaters we provide and install. Same-day service available.
Tankless Water Heaters in Bountiful
Tankless systems eliminate the sediment cycle entirely — no tank to accumulate mineral scale, hot water on demand, and a 15-20 year service life. A strong upgrade in Bountiful's hard-water market. We install and service all major brands. Financing available through GreenSky and FTL.
Commercial Plumbing in Bountiful
From Bountiful's commercial corridor along Main Street to retail and service properties throughout the city, Beehive handles commercial plumbing at scale. We've served clients including Arby's, Lowe's, Comcast, and Texas Roadhouse.
Sewer Line Repair in Bountiful
Root intrusion and aging pipe materials are consistent issues in Bountiful's established neighborhoods. Sewer mains installed in the 1950s through 1970s are reaching or past their design life in many areas. We locate, clean, repair, and replace sewer lines throughout Bountiful.
Drain Cleaning in Bountiful
Fifty-plus years of mineral scale and organic buildup narrow drain lines in Bountiful's older housing stock. We clear main lines and secondary lines and back the work with written guarantees: 60 days on main line cleaning, 30 days on secondary lines.
Plumbing Repairs in Bountiful
Leaks, running toilets, corroded shut-offs, aging fixtures — our licensed master plumbers handle every residential repair. 1-year guarantee on parts and labor.
Sink Plumbing Repair in Bountiful
Slow kitchen drains, under-sink leaks, garbage disposal problems — we find the source and fix it correctly the first time.
Hydro Jetting in Bountiful
For stubborn mineral scale and root material that cable cleaning can't fully remove, high-pressure hydro jetting scours pipe walls clean. Video inspection before and after every service. 90-day guarantee.

Highly recommended Will continue to use Beehive for my plumbing needsPosted on Christie AllredTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Update2: Kudos to Beehive who saw my update and is in the process of refunding the $50. Thank you! PS we don't want Christopher to lose his job. We just want honest, clear communication. Update: Three stars for the most recent repair person. He told us it cost extra to do the finish caulk, so we told him we'd do that part, and he said ok. He told us the warranty was included when we asked if it cost extra. After these communications, we signed and he went to work - come to find out, he did the finish caulking even though we had asked him not to, and the warranty is not included. It was itemized as a $50 fee on our final invoice. We felt tricked. We confronted him, and he said, "Well it was on the order you signed!" If you get Christopher Beck, double check his list of fees before you sign even if you have communicated clearly what you want and do not want. He was on time, and did a great job, but communication was questionable. Makes me want to try a different plumbing company next time, or request a different repairman. Old review... Five stars for the clogged drain guys: These guys are clean, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They got the job done right and now our drains flow perfectly.Posted on David AllredTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 3.5 Quality of work was excellent, however he said it would cost an extra $50 to caulk, so we clearly stated we would do the finish caulking, but then he did it and said it was included in the price we signed. We still don’t know if it was an extra $50 or not, but we felt tricked.Posted on Linda BaileyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristen Rasmussen was excellent. He has once again gone above and beyond to make sure my plumbing problems are fixed and my new installs are gorgeous. He is professional, thorough, and fair, as well as a wonderful human being. Thank you, Daniel!Posted on DeboTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matthew was so knowledgeable. We had no idea what was happening. All sinks, toilets and showers were backed up. Help...... he figured out it was the construction going on in the area, excacly where our pipes run. He went and spoke with them. Always kept me updated as to what was going on. We ended up paying nothing. This is and will be my plumber from now on. So polite, honest and sincerely cared. Thank you Matthew, from the bottom of my heart for making a difficult situation easy for my parents and I. ❤️Posted on Teresa LarsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would strongly advise NOT using Beehive Plumbing. Our plumber was Jordan, and he repeatedly kept changing the estimate while in the home, adding more “concerns” and increasing the price. Ended up we far overpaid for the initial job we had him do, which involved replacing pipes/parts that didn’t even need to be. We had him quote on a second job while he was doing the initial job, but declined that estimate which seemed excessively high. Two subsequent bids from other plumbers showed they could do that job for $195; Jordan had quoted us around $1475, and had completely misdiagnosed the cause of the leak… A couple of weeks following this terrible experience, I sent an email to “management” (they would not give me Jordan’s supervisor’s name), to make them aware of these issues. Now weeks later, I still have had no reply from that email or a phone call from Beehive.Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. What Bountiful Homeowners Are Dealing With
Bountiful draws roughly 60% of its water from eight deep municipal wells — some reaching 750 feet — and the remainder from treated surface water. As the city cycles between these sources, water hardness fluctuates from 18 to 38 GPG across the seasons. At 18 GPG, that’s hard. At 38 GPG, that’s extremely hard. Year after year, that mineral load deposits inside water heaters, narrows supply lines, and shortens the lifespan of every water-using appliance in your home.
At 4,300 feet and nestled against the Wasatch Range, Bountiful neighborhoods on the east slopes and near Mueller Park face real freeze risk each winter. In homes where original 1960s and 1970s insulation has degraded, pipes in crawl spaces and exterior walls carry significant risk from November through March.
24/7 Emergency Plumbing in Bountiful
Bountiful’s east-side neighborhoods — Mueller Park, Stone Creek Estates, the East Slopes — climb the Wasatch Range to elevations where winters are harder and longer than the valley floor. Older homes in these areas face real freeze risk. When a pipe bursts or a water heater fails overnight, Beehive answers 24/7 — a real person, every call, including weekends and holidays.
Whether it’s a frozen line near Mueller Park Trail, a failed water heater in Val Verda, or a backed-up main line in the Historic District, we dispatch immediately across Bountiful.

Bountiful Plumbing FAQs
Why is Bountiful's water so hard on pipes and water heaters?
Bountiful draws roughly 60% of its water from eight deep municipal wells — some reaching 750 feet — and the remainder from treated surface water. As the city cycles between these sources, water hardness fluctuates from 18 to 38 grains per gallon across the seasons. That range puts Bountiful’s water among the most aggressive in Davis County. The practical effect: mineral scale accumulates inside water heaters faster than in most U.S. markets, shortening lifespans from 12-15 years under average conditions to 8-10 years here.
Do I need a permit for water heater installation in Bountiful?
Yes — Bountiful City requires permits for water heater installation, applied through the city’s online Cityinspect portal. All work must be performed by a licensed Journeyman or Master plumber. We handle the permit process as part of every installation.
What plumbing problems should I expect in an older Bountiful home?
Bountiful’s housing stock skews toward 1950s-1970s construction. Homes from that era commonly develop galvanized steel supply lines that corrode internally and restrict flow, cast iron drain lines that accumulate buildup and develop root intrusion as landscaping matures, and water heaters that fail ahead of schedule due to hard water mineral accumulation. Low water pressure, rust-colored water, and recurring drain slowdowns are the most common warning signs.
How can I protect my Bountiful plumbing from hard water damage?
A quality water softener is the most direct protection — it reduces the mineral load before water reaches your pipes, heater, and fixtures. Annual water heater tank flushing also helps slow sediment accumulation. And for homes with older supply lines, a plumbing inspection can identify corrosion before it becomes a leak.
Do you offer financing for larger plumbing projects in Bountiful?
Yes — financing is available through GreenSky and FTL for water heater replacements, sewer work, and larger repairs. Apply online or we can walk you through it on-site.
