24/7 Emergency Service
Plumbing Services in Midvale, Utah
Licensed & bonded · 24/7 emergency response · Free estimates · Upfront pricing
Midvale has been a working city since the smelter days. Its homes reflect that: built primarily between the 1960s and 1990s, nearly 60% of Midvale’s housing stock is more than 25 years old. That means aging pipes, water heaters running past their service life, and drain lines that have been carrying mineral-laden hard water for decades.
Beehive Plumbing has been serving Midvale homeowners since 1997. Licensed master plumbers, upfront pricing, 24/7 availability — with a firm quote before we start and written guarantees on every job.

Why Beehive Plumbing
Plumbing Services in Midvale
Drain Cleaning in Midvale
Hard water mineral deposits combine with grease and debris to narrow older Midvale lines faster than in softer-water markets. We clear main lines and secondary lines and back the work with written guarantees: 60 days on main line cleaning, 30 days on secondary lines
Water Heater Repair, Replacement & Installation in Midvale
Hard water is the primary reason Midvale water heaters fail ahead of schedule — mineral scale builds up inside tanks, forcing them to work harder until they fail. We assess first: repair if that makes sense, replace if it doesn't. Every water heater we provide and install carries a 6-year parts and labor guarantee. Same-day service available.
Tankless Water Heaters in Midvale
Tankless systems eliminate the sediment-buildup problem that plagues traditional tanks in hard-water markets. They run 15-20 years and deliver hot water on demand without a tank. We install and service all major brands. Financing available through GreenSky and FTL.
Commercial Plumbing in Midvale
From Midvale's Bingham Junction commercial district to retail along State Street and the arts corridor near downtown, Beehive handles commercial plumbing at scale. We've served clients including Arby's, Lowe's, Comcast, and Texas Roadhouse.
Hydro Jetting in Midvale
For lines with heavy mineral scale buildup or recurring blockages, high-pressure hydro jetting scours pipe walls in a way that standard drain cleaning can't. Video inspection before and after every service. 90-day guarantee.
Water Softeners in Midvale
At 7-10 grains per gallon, Midvale's water hardness is well above the national average. A quality water softener protects your water heater, pipes, and fixtures from mineral damage. We offer free in-home water consultations testing hardness, chlorine, and TDS before recommending any system.
Plumbing Repairs in Midvale
Leaks, running toilets, corroded shut-offs, worn fixtures — our licensed master plumbers handle every residential repair. 1-year guarantee on parts and labor.
Sink Plumbing Repair in Midvale
Slow kitchen drains, under-cabinet leaks, garbage disposal issues — we diagnose and fix the source, not just the symptom.
Sewer Line Repair in Midvale
Root intrusion and aging pipe materials are regular issues in Midvale's established neighborhoods. We locate, clean, repair, and replace sewer lines

Highly recommended Will continue to use Beehive for my plumbing needsPosted on Christie AllredTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Update2: Kudos to Beehive who saw my update and is in the process of refunding the $50. Thank you! PS we don't want Christopher to lose his job. We just want honest, clear communication. Update: Three stars for the most recent repair person. He told us it cost extra to do the finish caulk, so we told him we'd do that part, and he said ok. He told us the warranty was included when we asked if it cost extra. After these communications, we signed and he went to work - come to find out, he did the finish caulking even though we had asked him not to, and the warranty is not included. It was itemized as a $50 fee on our final invoice. We felt tricked. We confronted him, and he said, "Well it was on the order you signed!" If you get Christopher Beck, double check his list of fees before you sign even if you have communicated clearly what you want and do not want. He was on time, and did a great job, but communication was questionable. Makes me want to try a different plumbing company next time, or request a different repairman. Old review... Five stars for the clogged drain guys: These guys are clean, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They got the job done right and now our drains flow perfectly.Posted on David AllredTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 3.5 Quality of work was excellent, however he said it would cost an extra $50 to caulk, so we clearly stated we would do the finish caulking, but then he did it and said it was included in the price we signed. We still don’t know if it was an extra $50 or not, but we felt tricked.Posted on Linda BaileyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristen Rasmussen was excellent. He has once again gone above and beyond to make sure my plumbing problems are fixed and my new installs are gorgeous. He is professional, thorough, and fair, as well as a wonderful human being. Thank you, Daniel!Posted on DeboTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matthew was so knowledgeable. We had no idea what was happening. All sinks, toilets and showers were backed up. Help...... he figured out it was the construction going on in the area, excacly where our pipes run. He went and spoke with them. Always kept me updated as to what was going on. We ended up paying nothing. This is and will be my plumber from now on. So polite, honest and sincerely cared. Thank you Matthew, from the bottom of my heart for making a difficult situation easy for my parents and I. ❤️Posted on Teresa LarsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would strongly advise NOT using Beehive Plumbing. Our plumber was Jordan, and he repeatedly kept changing the estimate while in the home, adding more “concerns” and increasing the price. Ended up we far overpaid for the initial job we had him do, which involved replacing pipes/parts that didn’t even need to be. We had him quote on a second job while he was doing the initial job, but declined that estimate which seemed excessively high. Two subsequent bids from other plumbers showed they could do that job for $195; Jordan had quoted us around $1475, and had completely misdiagnosed the cause of the leak… A couple of weeks following this terrible experience, I sent an email to “management” (they would not give me Jordan’s supervisor’s name), to make them aware of these issues. Now weeks later, I still have had no reply from that email or a phone call from Beehive.Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. What Midvale Homeowners Are Dealing With
The median Midvale home was built in 1987 — nearly 40 years ago. Homes built before 1980 often still carry original galvanized steel pipes, which corrode from the inside over time. Homes from the 1980s and 1990s have aging copper, prone to pinhole leaks and mineral buildup from Midvale’s 7-10 grain-per-gallon hard water.
That water hardness is real: Midvale draws from underground wells and Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District sources, both carrying significant mineral content. Over time, that scale deposits inside water heaters, narrows supply lines, and shortens appliance lifespans — faster than most homeowners expect.

Midvale Plumbing FAQs
How do I know if I have galvanized pipes in my Midvale home?
Galvanized steel pipes were common in homes built before 1980. Signs include rust-colored or discolored water (especially at first run), low water pressure throughout the house, and visible gray or silver metal pipes in utility areas. A plumbing inspection can confirm what material is in your home and whether it’s causing problems.
Why does hard water shorten my water heater's lifespan?
Midvale’s water runs 7-10 grains per gallon of hardness — well above average. That mineral content deposits scale inside the tank over time, forming an insulating layer between the burner and the water. The heater works harder, runs hotter, and wears out years ahead of schedule. A water softener or tankless system addresses the root cause.
Do I need a permit for water heater installation in Midvale?
Yes — Midvale City requires permits for water heater installation, and all work must be performed by a licensed Journeyman or Master plumber. We handle the permit process as part of every installation.
What's the difference between drain cleaning and hydro jetting?
Standard drain cleaning uses a cable auger to break through blockages — effective for most clogs. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour pipe walls, removing mineral scale, grease buildup, and root material that a cable can’t fully clear. In Midvale’s hard-water environment, hydro jetting is often the right call for recurring problems. We use camera inspection to identify the right approach first.
Do you offer financing for larger plumbing projects?
Yes — financing is available through GreenSky and FTL for water heater replacements, sewer work, and larger repairs. Apply online or we can walk you through it on-site.
