24/7 Emergency Service
Plumbing Services in Taylorsville, Utah
Licensed & bonded · Same-day service · Free estimates · Upfront pricing
Taylorsville was built in the 1970s and 1980s — a classic Salt Lake Valley suburb that incorporated in 1996. Today, the median Taylorsville home is 45 years old. That means original cast iron and galvanized steel pipes that have spent four decades in hard water. It means water heaters on their third or fourth replacement cycle in the oldest homes. And it means drain lines that have experienced decades of mineral buildup, root intrusion, and the slow settling that shifts older systems out of alignment.
Beehive Plumbing has been serving Taylorsville homeowners since 1997. Licensed master plumbers, upfront pricing, 24/7 availability — with a firm quote before we start and written guarantees on every job.

Why Beehive Plumbing
Plumbing Services in Taylorsville
Drain Cleaning in Taylorsville
Forty-plus years of hard water, grease, and organic buildup have narrowed drain lines across Taylorsville's older housing stock. We clear main lines and secondary lines and back the work with written guarantees: 60 days on main line cleaning, 30 days on secondary lines.
Water Heater Repair, Replacement & Installation in Taylorsville
Salt Lake Valley hard water cuts water heater lifespan to 8-10 years in Taylorsville — years shorter than the national average. Mineral sediment accumulates inside tanks, forces the burner to work harder, and accelerates failure. We assess honestly: repair if it makes sense, replace if it doesn't. Every water heater we provide and install carries a 6-year parts and labor guarantee for water heaters we provide and install. Same-day service available.
Tankless Water Heaters in Taylorsville
Tankless systems eliminate the sediment problem entirely — no tank to accumulate scale, hot water on demand, and a 15-20 year service life. Well-suited to Taylorsville's older homes and hard-water conditions. We install and service all major brands. Financing available through GreenSky and FTL.
Commercial Plumbing in Taylorsville
From commercial properties along Redwood Road to retail and service businesses throughout the city, Beehive handles commercial plumbing at scale. We've served clients including Arby's, Lowe's, Comcast, and Texas Roadhouse.
Sewer Line Repair in Taylorsville
Cast iron and clay sewer lines installed in 1970s-1980s construction are at or past their design life in many Taylorsville neighborhoods. Root intrusion and interior corrosion are common. We locate, clean, repair, and replace sewer lines throughout Taylorsville.
Water Softeners in Taylorsville
Salt Lake Valley water hardness — well above the national average — deposits mineral scale throughout your plumbing system year after year. A quality water softener reduces that load and protects water heaters, pipes, and fixtures. We offer free in-home water consultations testing hardness, chlorine, and TDS before recommending any system.
Plumbing Repairs in Taylorsville
Leaks, running toilets, corroded shut-offs, worn fixtures — our licensed master plumbers handle every residential repair. 1-year guarantee on parts and labor.
Sink Plumbing Repair in Taylorsville
Slow kitchen drains, under-sink leaks, garbage disposal problems — we diagnose the source and fix it the right way.
Hydro Jetting in Taylorsville
For older Taylorsville lines with heavy mineral scale and root material that cable cleaning can't fully remove, high-pressure hydro jetting scours pipe walls clean. Video inspection before and after every service. 90-day guarantee.

Neil was great-very knowledgeable!Posted on David MorrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very helpful. Open for question and communication. Highly recommended Will continue to use Beehive for my plumbing needsPosted on Christie AllredTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Update2: Kudos to Beehive who saw my update and is in the process of refunding the $50. Thank you! PS we don't want Christopher to lose his job. We just want honest, clear communication. Update: Three stars for the most recent repair person. He told us it cost extra to do the finish caulk, so we told him we'd do that part, and he said ok. He told us the warranty was included when we asked if it cost extra. After these communications, we signed and he went to work - come to find out, he did the finish caulking even though we had asked him not to, and the warranty is not included. It was itemized as a $50 fee on our final invoice. We felt tricked. We confronted him, and he said, "Well it was on the order you signed!" If you get Christopher Beck, double check his list of fees before you sign even if you have communicated clearly what you want and do not want. He was on time, and did a great job, but communication was questionable. Makes me want to try a different plumbing company next time, or request a different repairman. Old review... Five stars for the clogged drain guys: These guys are clean, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They got the job done right and now our drains flow perfectly.Posted on David AllredTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 3.5 Quality of work was excellent, however he said it would cost an extra $50 to caulk, so we clearly stated we would do the finish caulking, but then he did it and said it was included in the price we signed. We still don’t know if it was an extra $50 or not, but we felt tricked.Posted on Linda BaileyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kristen Rasmussen was excellent. He has once again gone above and beyond to make sure my plumbing problems are fixed and my new installs are gorgeous. He is professional, thorough, and fair, as well as a wonderful human being. Thank you, Daniel!Posted on DeboTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matthew was so knowledgeable. We had no idea what was happening. All sinks, toilets and showers were backed up. Help...... he figured out it was the construction going on in the area, excacly where our pipes run. He went and spoke with them. Always kept me updated as to what was going on. We ended up paying nothing. This is and will be my plumber from now on. So polite, honest and sincerely cared. Thank you Matthew, from the bottom of my heart for making a difficult situation easy for my parents and I. ❤️Posted on Teresa LarsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would strongly advise NOT using Beehive Plumbing. Our plumber was Jordan, and he repeatedly kept changing the estimate while in the home, adding more “concerns” and increasing the price. Ended up we far overpaid for the initial job we had him do, which involved replacing pipes/parts that didn’t even need to be. We had him quote on a second job while he was doing the initial job, but declined that estimate which seemed excessively high. Two subsequent bids from other plumbers showed they could do that job for $195; Jordan had quoted us around $1475, and had completely misdiagnosed the cause of the leak… A couple of weeks following this terrible experience, I sent an email to “management” (they would not give me Jordan’s supervisor’s name), to make them aware of these issues. Now weeks later, I still have had no reply from that email or a phone call from Beehive.Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. What Taylorsville Homeowners Are Dealing With
Taylorsville’s water comes through the Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District, and the Salt Lake Valley’s mineral hardness runs well above national norms. That hard water has been doing its work on Taylorsville’s plumbing for 40-plus years: narrowing galvanized supply lines from the inside, depositing scale in water heaters, and accelerating the corrosion of cast iron drain lines.
At 4,237 feet elevation with the Jordan River running through the city and the Wasatch Range to the east, Taylorsville winters bring legitimate freeze risk — especially in older homes where exterior wall insulation has degraded over decades of temperature cycling.
24/7 Emergency Plumbing in Taylorsville
At 4,237 feet elevation with cold air flowing down from the Wasatch Range, Taylorsville winters are hard on older plumbing — especially in homes where wall and crawl space insulation from the 1970s and 1980s has degraded. When a pipe freezes or a water heater fails overnight, Beehive answers 24/7 — a real person, every call, including weekends and holidays.
Whether it’s a burst pipe near the Jordan River Trail, a failed water heater in Woodhaven Village, or a backed-up main line in Bennion, we dispatch immediately across Taylorsville.

Taylorsville Plumbing FAQs
My Taylorsville home was built in the 1980s — what plumbing problems should I expect?
Homes from the 1970s and 1980s are at the age where galvanized steel supply lines corrode internally and restrict flow, cast iron drain lines develop interior corrosion and buildup, and sewer mains show root intrusion from decades of landscaping growth. Compound that with Salt Lake Valley hard water shortening water heater lifespan to 8-10 years, and aging homes face predictable, recurring plumbing needs.
How does hard water affect plumbing in Taylorsville?
Taylorsville’s water is sourced through the Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District and carries significant mineral hardness — well above the national average. That mineral content deposits inside water heaters, pipes, and fixtures year after year. The most direct effect is a shortened water heater lifespan — tanks that might last 12-15 years in softer water markets typically fail at 8-10 in the Salt Lake Valley.
Do I need a permit for water heater installation in Taylorsville?
Yes — Taylorsville City requires permits for water heater installation, and all work must be performed by a licensed Journeyman or Master plumber. We handle the permit process as part of every installation.
What are the signs my Taylorsville home has aging pipe problems?
Rust-colored or discolored water when you first run a faucet, reduced water pressure throughout the house, and recurring drain clogs that return within weeks are all warning signs. In older Taylorsville homes, galvanized supply lines corrode from the inside and cast iron drain lines develop buildup that narrows flow and traps debris over time.
Do you offer financing for larger plumbing projects?
Yes — financing is available through GreenSky and FTL for water heater replacements, sewer work, and larger repairs. Apply online or we can walk you through it on-site.
